We are a NZ/ UK family looking for someone to take our 5 year old non verbal child out on excursions from 10.30am-4.30pm mon - fri for the summer school holidays - starting as soon as possible. Our nanny has been taken ill last minute. Would prefer someone who is experienced with autism but someone who is very interested can also apply : non verbal communications, including makaton, be experienced with behavioural challenges (very calm), able to feed him (purees only), able to do nappy changes, be very fit / with no health issues. We can talk through the rest at interview. In addition, you will need to be available to come to spain for 2.5 weeks in august. The role will be about ten hours per day, including food prep (he is on pureed food), bathing, dressing, feeding and driving to excursions. You will need to be able to swim, drive and tolerate being on a trampoline! The role in spain will be paid for by us and the weekly role in london will be paid through social services.
