This includes connectivity between: - Vendor data centers and AT&T data centers - Enterprise customer and 3rd parties to/from Vendor. This includes understanding and ensuring that the connectivity architecture is well integrated with software architecture especially the load distribution and fail-over/disaster site mechanisms. Although this position is responsible for the overall connectivity architecture and design, the detailed designs and implementation plans will likely be done by the organizations responsible for the various networks and data centers, therefore this role will include a significant coordination and oversight activities to ensure the designs across the environments meet the needs of the project. This role will require a person with good overall software architecture and coordination skills to ensure that the connectivity integrates with the software architecture. The person should have a excellent understanding of networking concepts including IP, MPLS VPN, IPSEC, DNS, routing protocols, network load balancers, etc. The key responsibility is to ensure that the designs by the respective SMEs integrate together appropriately. Qualifications: BS or MS (Major in Electrical Engineering is preferred) or equivalent experience. Minimum of 10+ years of both detailed network design and network architecture experience. Experience with networking to support very high volume applications with high security requirements required. Experience with Network Operator or Wireless Network Operator environments desired. Strong organization and process management skills. Very strong communications skills. Experience with cloud based infrastructure desired. Experience with software architecture desired.
