Yoh has a contract-hire opportunity for a Senior Software Developer (SW) to join our client located in Santa Ana, CA Job Overview: Under general direction the Sr. SW Developer develops, codes, tests, and debugs new software or enhancements to existing software as part of a software product. This position requires a good understanding of business applications. Works with technical staff to understand problems with software and resolve them. Resolves customer complaints with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements. This position differs from an Applications Developer in that this position is developing software products for the sale / use of company customers. Job Responsibilities: - Participate in the design, development, and maintenance of software code for business applications. - Contribute to full life-cycle application development including user requirements, specifications, design, coding, testing, documentation, etc. - Contribute to system documentation for systems, applications, and databases. - Prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written, designed, coded, tested, and debugged. - Consult with users and develop business relationships, while integrating activities with other IT (Information Technology) departments to ensure successful implementation. - May lead small projects or regularly coach other team members to ensure business application systems are developed in a way that complies with architectural standards and established methodologies and practices. - Monitor and report to management on the status of project efforts while anticipating / identifying issues that inhibit the attainment of project goals and implementing corrective actions. - Foster and maintain good relationships with customers and IT colleagues to meet expected customer service levels. Job Qualifications: - Seven to nine years of software development experience. - Strong knowledge of C# is desired. - Strong Object Oriented Analysis and Design skills are desired. - Good database and SQL skills. - Basic scripting language skills. - Good communication skills. - Must be goal oriented, self-motivated, and have excellent problem solving and decision-making skills. - Possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. - Incumbent should be a positive team player with a great work ethic and the ability to work independently. - Hands on experience with new MS .Net technologies such as LINQ, WCF, JSON, Entity Framework, etc. is preferred.
