This is a contract opportunity with our Fortune 500 client for an experienced Project Manager to help manage the IT Infrastructure portfolio. These projects range from full-cycle Infrastructure delivery projects to vendor management projects. This position will also assist in the development of new Project Management processes and help establish baseline PMO governance procedures within the newly established Infrastructure PMO. Experience Requied: - 5+ years work experience in a project manager role. - 8+ years total IT Experience - A working knowledge of Infrastructure support services. - Great written and verbal communications skills. Ability to negotiate and reach *Win-Win* Scenarios - Talent for directing and managing the work of others as well as performing detailed tasks when necessary. - Experience in managing and interacting with both local and virtual project teams. - Significant demonstrations of being a 'self-starter' requiring little direct oversight in performing short term and long term tasks. - Experience in managing or leading an IT group providing application/infrastructure support - Experience (leading or participating) in the deployment of enterprise-wide process. - General knowledge of application/infrastructure architecture principles. - General knowledge of application integration principles, standards and methods. - Expert knowledge of the MSOffice Suite - in particular, MSProject, Visio, Word and Excel. - General knowledge of SDLC - 5+ Project Task Management. Ability to identify, set priority, assign and monitor other*s work. - Proven track record (3+ Years) in working on enterprise level large scale n-tier applications/infrastructure experience - Experience with builds/deployments for 24/7 production environments - Experience In Process definition, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives - PMP Preferred
