Business Analyst / Data Analyst
PLEASE NOTE: US Citizen status required for some positions. Responsibilities: Provide analysis and facilitate communication between business units and IT to interpret and clarify business and systems requirements. Interview customers to identify system needs Document user needs to identify systems impacted by necessary changes Perform usability studies to recommend user interface and reporting changes Monitor and interpret government mandates to identify additional process or system functionality or changes necessary to existing functionality Actively resolve day-to-day technology needs of the business unit with a focus on the analysis of processes – dissecting problems and suggesting solutions, including complex systems process analysis, design, and simulation Leverage knowledge of IS solutions and business support improvements as well as industry requirements to identify, propose, and influence customer business solutions Identify marketing opportunities for potential customers and present systems and services products as solutions Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external customer management, testers, and users as well as other IS staff and management Facilitate communication between business units and IS to negotiate agreements and commitments Assist in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology Participate in continuous review and update to ensure that processes meet changing business unit conditions Develop training and testing materials for customers and other IS staff 30% Respond to questions and ensure understanding of why the business solution was chosen. Guide both technical and customer departments in the development of the systems. 25% Elicit and document user requirements to meet a business objective. Identify and validate requirements and organize the information into a logical document using business analysis models that is understood by the customer and Information Systems. 10% Facilitate the transfer of knowledge about the "big picture" direction of the business units to others who support them. 10% Ensure the accurate deployment of solutions through review of problem logs, assisting with test plans and test matrices, and other analysis activities. 10% Provide input on the business direction for system changes. 10% Validate the business need for solutions to business problems and process improvements. 5% Mentor less experienced business systems analysts. Required Skills: Experience as a Business Analyst and Data Analyst with Health Insurance applications background. Background in Software Development process, storyboard, document management, process management/re-engineering, software testing/planning, and/or customer service. Skills utilizing MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), DB2, SQL, QMF, and/or Visio. PLEASE NOTE: This is a W2 Hourly Employee status position. Absolutely no C2C or 1099.
