IMMEDIATE JOB OPENING Creative Human Resources Concepts, LLC (CHRC) is currently recruiting for a contract position located in Mesa, Arizona for approximately 6 months. Machinist/Tool & Die JOB DESCRIPTION : Fabricate a variety of parts, tooling and mechanical assemblies by performing a variety of complex machining and assembly tasks. Judgment is required in areas involving fabrication, modification, rework and repair of tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, gages and mechanical assemblies to ensure conformance to engineering specifications in support of production and developmental tooling in a manual and CNC equipped job shop environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : · Interpret drawing geometry and engineering specifications, determines raw material requirements. · Develop job strategy and sequence of operations. · Understand machine and cutting tool concepts, applications and feed/speeds. · Set up and operate machining equipment. · Verify part conformance to drawings and/or engineering specs. · Assemble machined parts, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical components and hardware as required. · Verify alignments, clearances and mechanism function. · Performs heat treating and welding. · Lift and position tooling and machined parts as required. · Design basic tooling. · Maintain and clean work space and machines on a daily basis. REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE : · High school diploma or GED which can be verified · 4-6 years directly related experience · Experience with running manual mills, manual lathes, manual grinders, and cut off saws. · Experience with single point threading on manual lathe (2 years minimum). · Experience with setting up and running EZ-Trak conversational CNC mill. · Experience with operating Milltronics CNC lathe and Fadal VMC 4020 CNC mill. · Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. · Ability to apply concepts such as decimals, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. · Ability to design basic tooling · Solid machinist math skills · Ability to obtain ATF certification to work with client’s products · Four year certificate from technical school or certified apprenticeship program preferred.
