mySecureDelivery enables easy, secure, and effective document and file sharing, inside - and more importantly - outside of the organization. mySecureDelivery's secure document sharing and secure file sharing software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions allow companies to maintain control over critical information as it moves throughout its' distribution life cycle Job description: My company develops and markets a document and file security product called mySecureDelivery. It takes either a document or a file and encrypts it with a unique license key, manages the license keys, builds a security policy (open on date/time, expiration date/time, limit views/devices, authorized user list, etc.), and then creates the protected information as a .msd file ( ). We have a set of APIs as well. We have build an simple droplet for MAC OS X in Applescript, which allows the user to drag a folder of files, or additional files, and if the files are Office files, the droplet batch processes all the files and secures them with the same security policy solicited from the user. The steps at a high level are below. There is a pdf listing attached that has the code from the Applescript droplet that gives you the logic required : 1.) Interacts with user to have them enter the username and password for the mySecureDelivery Service (our SaaS offering) 2.) Solicits input regarding the security policy for expiration date, open on date, views, devices, authorized users (private document) or public document, and whether printing was allowed. 3.) Determine what applications are present on the users device, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Also check to see if they are currently running, and if so remember so that at the end of processing we either quit the process or keep it running (retain the state before we started) 4) Once all information is obtained, the folder processing takes place. The folder could have only files, which we would then process one at a time, or it could be another folder, which would have to be processed to get the files out, and so forth. 5.) For every file see if it is a word, excel or powerpoint file. If so, we need to create a pdf file for the file and then call the api to create the protected file with the security policy. When done the PDF file needs to be deleted. 6.) If the file is a pdf file, we just need to call the api to create the protected file with the security policy. 7.) if the file is not an office document or a pdf file, the file needs to be skipped. 8.) keep track of the total number of files, number of files protected, skipped. then number of word, excel, and powerpoint files. 9.) After all files were processed, issue the logoff cmd to the api, and then display a summary of the files processed.
