Human short-range proximity drivers for Windows 8 Tablet PC Job Duties - To develop a sensor driver for a Windows 8 platform intended at Proximity sensing for Tablet PC. Client's sensor is I2C controlled and generates an interrupt telling the host MCU (thru the driver) to retrieve status register. The driver processes the information and reports to the application layer whether a human body has been detected in close proximity. The driver will initialize the sensor. The sensor is made of a flex PCB acting like a capacitive sensor and the clients RFIC (analog input / digital controlled by I2C). There is no code to program on the Client RFIC. Only registers to set and read and the driver contains some simple / low speed processing for managing the detection thresholds registers. - Delivery is driver + source code + simple application GUI (Client has such GUI on other windows OS or Linux / Android) + documentation of the driver. - optional delivery: Microsoft certification of the driver - optional delivery: retrofit of Windows8 Tablet or SmartPhone with Sensor and running application on the TabletPC * Must be able to supply own Windows 8 platform for the development. * Client will also purchase a platform
