Immedaite need for Web Application Developer - Level 2 for federal client opportunity. Responsiblities: • Install, configure and upgrade SharePoint 2010 for WMATA intranet site (80+ department websites; 5000+ users) • Leverage new and expanded features of 2010 by implementing new website UI. Map existing SP 2007 content/templates to new UI and templates. • Administer, troubleshoot, and provide oversight for move of 2007 farm to newly configured 2010 environment. • Assist WMATA departments and offices with maintaining and creating SharePoint sites and applications. (Provide ad hoc training, develop workflows, create custom webparts, etc.) • Maintain and support development, QA and production server farm environments. Provide after hours support as necessary. Requirements: • Proven ability (past experience) in migrating an enterprise-level website from SharePoint 2007 to SP 2010. • Proven ability to provide advanced SharePoint web solutions for diverse WMATA client base. • Ability to translate loose customer requirements into effective SharePoint web solutions. • Experience evaluating and implementing OTS/third party SharePoint tools, add-ons and templates. • Previous experience building medium to large SharePoint farm environments (dev, QA, production). • Experience troubleshooting and fixing server issues including redundancy, database mirroring, high availability, failover and authentication. • MS SharePoint Certifications, IT (or related) Masters Degree strongly preferred.
