Field Service Technician
Job Description: Role Summary/Purpose In this role, the Field Technician will work as part of a small multi skilled operations team. You will undertake, carry out all in-field inspection activities to ensure the successful completion of a client project. This includes ensuring that all equipment is fully maintained to the recognized standard. In this role, you will: Essential Responsibilities · Work alone or as part of a team in-field, operating inspection equipment used for integrity monitoring on ‘live’ pipelines · Achieve Base and in-field maintenance, preparation, commissioning deadlines to meet agreed programs and budget · Implement the agreed in-field program within the specified timescales. · Work to Company procedures and drawings · Complete all necessary required documentation · Carry out operational site surveys as necessary · Front-line troubleshooting of electro-mechanical inspection equipment · Assist in training of client and sub-contract personnel involved in the inspection activities be the liaise with the client in job planning, execution, support and feedback · Provide external and internal timely and accurate professional reports · Meet required quality standards · Assist in the reduction of maintenance costs · Comply with Health and Safety legislation and requirements – assisting in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) improvements Qualifications/Requirements · High School Diploma /GED ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: · Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record for use of company vehicles Desired Characteristics · Strong Information Technology skills · Associates Degree in Electronics or other Technical Degree Program · Demonstrable understanding of electronic and/or mechanical engineering drawings · Ability in the assembly, maintenance and preparation of mechanical and electronic equipment · Ability to deliver engineering solutions · Technical knowledge of PII’s equipment preferred · Customer focused and ability to manage client expectations · Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines · Awareness of the financial implications of decisions made in-field and general financial compliance · Awareness of opportunities to maximize additional income by promoting PII’s in-field excellence · Significant travel with no restrictions (domestic / international / offshore) · Embraces and initiates change improvements · Self-motivated, flexible and willing team member Minimum Education Required: High School Years of Experience Required: At Least 1 Year Expected Travel Time: More than 50% Keywords: Building Construction
