Experis is looking for a Business Analyst/Quality Assurance Analyst for a client of ours in downtown Denver. This is a great team to work with and great location. General Description: Our client is looking for a Business Analyst (BA)/Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst contractor to perform software deployment defect tracking/resolution, new software functionality deployment and business requirements gathering/documentation. The QA/BA will be responsible for working with agency leads and the PMO project manager to: Identify, track and resolve open software defects in QA and production environments Develop test cases to aid in deployment of new software code in QA and ultimately production environments Direct agency efforts to perform regression testing following release of new software code Perform detailed requirements gathering sessions with agency leads and work with software vendor to deploy functionality Submit Weekly QA/BA Status Reports Attend internal agency meetings and vendor meetings as required Position will be more QA focused initially and then will transition to a more BA focused engagement as time progresses. The Ideal Candidate will have: Bachelors degree or higher is required Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to prepare and perform interviews regarding business processes and needs with a wide variety of stakeholders/clients Excellent organizational skills to capture, track and resolve deficiencies Strong emphasis on maintaining quality assurance throughout all phases of engagement Ability to work with many different personalities to build trust with agencies and team members Proven facilitation skills Ability to work independently and provide self-direction on assigned tasks and projects Ability to proactively seek team member input and supervisor review of deliverables Strong computing skills including: MS Office, MS Visio, MS Project Project / Task Management skills demonstrated success in creating clear project scopes, project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation for on-time, on-budget projects Experience with enterprise deployment of custom and COTS software suites Desired Skills/Experience: Ability to facilitate business, functional and technical requirements with diverse clients Ability to create compelling business cases for proposed process improvements Understand and participate in SDLC QA responsibilities Author basic Test Matrices from Business/Technical Requirements Able to own basic QA Planning Task and execution Proficient at all Manual Test execution tasks related to Test Scripts/Cases and Defects Demonstrated success in training others on new methodologies or processes.
