Our client, located in Irvine, California, is seeking Technical Support Specialists who have experience with Windows 7 rollouts. Main Duties: Acquires and effectively demonstrates any additional knowledge and skill requirements as requested. Maintains and consistently demonstrates a general knowledge of company guidelines, processes, practices and procedures Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves issues concerning personal computer workstations. Configures and installs software and hardware for use on personal computer workstations Meets with clients to discuss planning considerations for meeting overall desktop needs as well as specific applications required for daily operations Researches alternatives and suggests specific hardware equipment and software that will best meet their client's needs and adhere to company Qualifications: Working knowledge of Windows 7, project management experience, and a professional demeanor Candidates must have excellent customer service, strong trouble-shooting, attention to detail/organization, and good verbal/written communication skills Demonstrated ability to provide work direction and training to others as required Thorough knowledge of micro computer technology, concepts, and standards involving hardware requirements and software applications Thorough knowledge of operating systems such as DOS, OS/2, Macintosh, and Windows Thorough knowledge of personal computer software such as Excel, Word, Lotus, and WordPerfect General knowledge of network principles, concepts, and technologies applicable to hardware, software, and administration utilities General knowledge of state-of-the-art concepts, procedures, and techniques for using mainframe, client server, LAN, personal computer, and database systems Acquires and effectively demonstrates any additional knowledge and skill requirements as requested.
