Our client, located in Houston, Texas, is seeking an experienced Technical Writer. Required Qualifications: Ability to apply advanced functionality within Captivate 5.5 Ability to apply advanced functionality within PowerPoint 2010 5 or more years of experience developing web based training for software implementations, preferably in the oil and gas sector 5 or more years of change management experience Experience interacting with Subject Matter Experts, and gathering necessary documentation Understanding of the software development lifecycle, as it relates to training development and implementation Bachelor's degree (required) - in Instructional Design or Technical Writing (would be nice to have) Desired Qualifications: Experience in managing a SharePoint site Ability to appropriately apply Bloom's taxonomy in the development of learning objectives and anticipated outcomes Familiarity with the software commercialization process, preferably in the oil and gas sector Understanding of SCORM compliance, as it relates to the instructional design development process
