The Software Quality Assurance Analyst III will be responsible for working as part of the Software Quality Assurance team developing test cases, executing tests and tracking defects. This position is responsible for working with many groups within IT and with the business to ensure high quality testing. The Software Quality Assurance Analyst will be responsible for leading test staff. Main Duties: Design and write formal test plans and test specifications to address unit, system and integration testing. Execute detailed test procedures, manual or automatic, designed to validate application functional requirements Ensure that software requirements are verifiable and quantifiable Writes test plans and build test cases with direct involvement from business customers Creates and maintains automated test scripts Documents defects in a tracking system Uses automated testing tools Ensure that reliability considerations have been adequately addressed during the development life cycle Contributes to and supports the corporation's quality initiatives by encouraging team and individual contributions toward the corporation's quality improvement efforts Provide project information to the project manager and lead developer Provide updates to Management as required Minimum Job Qualifications and Technical Competencies Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, and four years test engineering experience with two years of experience working on complex projects. Two years of experience leading and mentoring test staff. Or an equivalent combination of education and five years test engineering experience with two years of experience working on complex projects and two years of experience leading and mentoring test staff. Or seven years of experience in test engineering, two years of experience working on complex time-boxed projects and two years of experience leading and managing test staff. This experience will be demonstrated with: - Experience using Rational Software's suite of products or other testing tools - Experience writing automated testing scripts - Experience working with business partners in writing detailed test plans Highly skilled data analysis with ability to do complex queries to confirm data quality, ability to quickly acquire understanding of complex systems The ability to create regression test suites and an understanding of test automation Highly desired skills: healthcare insurance knowledge, Trizetto Facets system and database knowledge
