SUMMARY Our client, a major corporation based in the Rosemont area, seeks a motivated developer to develop and support the in-house UI framework. This individual will have the primary responsibility for developing the framework components and supporting the development teams. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develop UI framework components and services: Conversion of user requirement into technical requirements Mapping of architecture into technical design and program units Development of Common and Reusable Controls using Server side and Client side technologies. SKILLS and COMPETENCIES Software architecture and development Working knowledge of SOA and XML Messaging, Serialization, MVC & AJAX Development experience in both desktop and web user interfaces Development experience in frameworks and reusable components Solid understanding of Pattern based programming OOA&D; UML a plus Strong UI development skills, including: Microsoft .NET Web UI (ASP.Net, C#) Microsoft .NET WinForm (C#) Javascript development using jQuery & extJS Development experience with 3rd Party UI frameworks like DevExpress, Infragistics Exposure to other Javascript framework is a plus Experience in performance engineering is a plus Experience in mentoring developers is a plus EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Degree in Computer Science or equivalent job experience 10+ years experience in IT 3+ years experience designing or developing reusable software components 3+ years recent experience with Microsoft .NET, C#, ASP.NET Current hands-on experience with application development, especially web and desktop user interfaces
