Infrastructure Program Manager (with relevant telecom Experience)
Location: Dallas, TX Program Management Responsibilities/Objectives Program Budget Management Wireless Transition Video Optimization OCS to Lync Upgrade Program Mgmt Duties Oversee execution and delivery of projects related to successful program execution. Oversee vendor relations and procurement related to the program. Facilitate and direct weekly program status meetings, monthly Steering Committee and Operating committee Meetings, and productivity tracking meetings Consolidate weekly program status reporting and period productivity reporting Organize program goals / objectives into major streams of work with specific deliverables. Initiate / launch project(s) to effectively manage deliverables. (PM to then take over after launched) Develop and maintain “lessons-learned” inputs to the project repository for utilization on future programs initiated by the enterprise. Resolve or escalate political, resource, budgeting, change, and legal issues affecting the program. Serve as a mentor/advisor/decision-maker to project managers for the program for issues related to corporate politics, external politics, client relations, governmental regulation, project quality, project risk, and safety. Work closely with the Program Director and Program Review Board to facilitate decisions necessary for program delivery. UC Project Manager Role on these projects NSN – Continued next phases (International, Circuit connections) Canada MPLS Transition and Rollout (90 field sites) Voice Optimization – SIPT Trunking Rollout (250+ field sites) Project Management Duties per Project Facilitate a weekly project work stream status meeting with the team and report results (Risks, Issues) Partner with Vendor project managers to coordinate activities and monitor vendor progress. Monitor and report productivity tracking (as required) to the program at monthly productivity tracking meetings Attend and report status in weekly program status meetings (escalate risks, issues and changes to the projects) Establish and maintain an Enterprise Project Management (EPM) Workspace for each assigned project or work effort. Use the Workspace effectively to communicate status and as a formal repository for all project documentation. This portal should be leveraged and kept up to date weekly and status reports generated per the governance specified for your project or program. Proactively manage risks, issues, changes and action items leveraging SharePoint Workspace. Create and proactively manage a MS Project schedule with all the task details behind your project(s) execution. Maintain an active partnership with the program manager and program directors Follow the appropriate Stage Gate processes in a proactive manner scheduling them several weeks in advance of due date.
