Pre Sales NetApp - Solution Architect Solutions Architect will be responsible for evaluating existing systems and technologies, and developing strategic solutions and blueprints to customer business challenges and opportunities, focusing on enterprise infrastructure architecture. The Solutions Architect will be responsible for IT Infrastructure design, development and deployment of company*s solutions offerings. This individual will collaborate with both internal team members and external partners and customers to develop technology solution to address customer business needs. Area of focus will primarily center on Storage and related technologies, but will include Systems, Databases, Networks, and Operating Systems elements as well. The Solution Architect will have deep experience in IT Technology solutions, including excellent functional and technical skills, firm understanding of industry best practices in the various aspects of IT trends. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Architect and Designs technology solutions for client sales opportunities * Responsible for assisting Sales Reps and partners in architecting, defining, positioning, solutioning, designing and presenting a range of solutions around NetApp, EMC, VMware, Symantec (primarily backup and archival), Data Domain, Cisco and Brocade San Technology, and any other company technology offerings * Facilitate long-term customer relationships through the delivery of technical solutions to customer business problems. * Participate in customer facing meetings to determine business and technical requirements that will be used in developing solutions * Generate consulting revenues by providing advanced technical design and implementation services. * Maintain technology expertise & currency in Storage Area Network Solutions and Technologies. * Expertly deliver storage-based solutions to customer base as well as provide pre-and post-sales Engineering support to Sales Team. * Provide technical expertise and guidance to internal company team as well as external partners and clients * Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies as appropriate QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED: * Ideal candidate has at least 8-10 yearsof Pre Sales NetApp Storage Experience plus experience in successful deployment of distributed enterprise solutions. MS Project, Power Point and Visio conversant. * Ability to develop and communicate vision with our customers, partners and colleagues utilizing strong presentation skills combined with solid technical background. * Strong understanding of future industry trends in storage and related technologies * Strong knowledge of integration with multiple technologies, architectures and operational standards. * Possesses working knowledge of systems and databases, with emphasis on storage hardware and storage software products * Ability to travel up to 25% * College diploma or equivalent experience in the field of business administration, computer science or management information systems.
