Our client is looking for a Clinical Applications Manager for a permanent position (contract-to-hire) in Albuquerque. The Clinical Applications Manager will be in charge of both the Sunquest and PowerPath applications and will be responsible for a team of 6-8 people. The manager will be responsible to lead and manage the technical analysis and business process analysis required for the support and development of Sunquest and PowerPath. The manager will coordinate activities with other areas within the organization and with internal and external customers ensure that quality standards are being met. Sunquest and PowerPath experience are required. The candidate will be responsible for the following: 1. Manage the development, support and/or upgrade of the standard Lab applications. 2. Manage the architecture, development, support and/or upgrade of interfaces between application systems and instrumentation in the lab, as well as external EMR/EHR systems. 3. Contribute to the planning and development of our client's lab application policies and procedures. 4. Conduct feasibility studies to determine user needs and recommend appropriate application solutions. 5. Evaluate, recommend and implement new application technologies. 6. Provide management for projects oriented toward technological improvements. 7. Develop training to IT staff and users on application architecture, functionality, and operation. 8. Prioritize and schedule tasks and projects, and manage staff to accomplish these objectives on time and on budget. 9. Review and approve the and leave for employees managed.
