Title: Storage Administrator - Security Initiative (fg1145) Posting Id: fg1145 Location: Thousand Oaks Duration: 17 Months Job Summary The primary responsibility of this position is working with Varonis DataAdvantage and DataPrivilege to provide data analytics while working with the enterprise storage team to optimize access control of department and application shares. The responsibility also extends to storage configuration and operations management, along with daily storage management tasks in a complex global environment. The environment contains multiple platforms of NetApp hardware, NetApp software, and other infrastructure products. You will also be responsible for opening and managing change control to deploy complex tasks and procedure. Job Responsibilities: Responsible for managing permissions and access control of all important data currently stored on Netapp. Responsible for remediation of access control issues and application and department shares Responsible for opening and managing change control of critical changes on Netapp filer shares and arrays in Service-Now tool Designs data migration architecture as required. Work closely with business analyst and project manager to meet project timeline. Provides ITIL Process Planning as applicable. Recommend changes to procedures which result in operational optimization Ability to drive things independently with little direction. Work with subject matter experts to discover, define, assess, document and remediate permission issues on file shares Need to make sure that the correct process is followed in terms of the preparation, processing and the implementation of the permission. Basic Qualifications: Qualified candidates must possess the following skills/experience: 5 years of Strong experience with NetApp technology. Experience with Varonis DataAdvantage and DataPrivilege Data Governance Hands on experience on ONTAP 7.x and 8.x with excellent understanding of Netapp data protection technologies like snapshot, snapmirror and snapvault. Very good knowledge of Windows files share and Active directory user and group management. Configuration and administration of vfilers Excellent scripting knowledge Identify and consult on best practices to assist customer in avoiding provisioning issues. NFS concepts including (but not limited to) netgroups, NFS export interaction, NFS export cache, performance and troubleshooting, collecting perfstat analysis files and analysis or excellent case resolution skills utilizing NetApp support. Data migration experience including moving SnapMirror sources from old systems to new systems. Familiarity with CIFS and ability to diagnose connectivity issues, authentication, and AD membership issues. Experience in configuring multiprotocol shares Data migration experience - Scripting in a Unix or Windows environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience in a customer-facing role is important. Experience with the ServiceNow change management tool
