Title: Test Technician Location: Milpitas, CA Duration: 12-13 months Description: Focus on Compatibility test with Enclosure and Cluster/High Availability solutions Responsible for performing interoperability testing of Client storage hardware and software with multiple vendors solutions. This will involve taking Client storage products through the compatibility validation process and supporting qualification efforts with key partners. Performance analysis and competitor analysis. Create/review test plan and equipment requirements prior to start of test. Set up test equipment per different environment and execute test cases. Monitor test plan progress to maintain schedule Troubleshoot all compatibility test issues and work closely with FAE, SE and development teams to manage issue resolution. Communicate thoroughly on compatibility testing activities and result to manager and internal teams regarding testing of new, current and old product tests and issues including competitive products. Daily accurate reporting of raw test data is required. Write up final test reports Required Skills: Good working knowledge SAS, SATA, PCie and storage industry. Prefer experience with RAID and performance benchmarking. Familiar with enclosure and cluster services is a plus. Familiar with computer hardware such as chipsets, motherboards, Host Bus Adapters, RAID cards, and storage enclosures. Hands on experience installing different operating systems on Intel based personal computers/servers. This includes Windows, Linux, Solaris, Netware, etc. Able to troubleshoot hardware and software problems and familiarity with the basic components of a personal computer. Able to quickly learn new hardware, software, and operating systems. Able to handle multiple tasks while meeting project deadlines in a fast moving, dynamic environment. Good communication (written and verbal), documentation, and problem solving skills. Self-motivated, self-directed, and have a strong work ethic. A proven desire to work as a team member, both on the same team and outside of the team. Ability to write automation test scripts is a plus. Education: College degree preferred.
