Portfolio Delivery Manager
Responsibilities:* Create and operate a new portfolio delivery organisation * Proactive planning, prioritisation and management of the IT&SiF portfolio * Change management (new demand) * Delivery assurance of plans * Future view of operating & cost model * Create and operate a PMO function within IT&SiF * Create and deliver of a full communication agenda across IT&SiF teams and stakeholders * Identify , develop and implement programme of Operational Efficiency and Continuous Imvement (process and technology) * On-going performance management, including financials, people metrics and efficiency improvements. * Capability management across IT&SiF * Deliver and support the creation of tools and processes to enable the collation of accurate and maintainable portfolio service data. * Quality assurance of all Management Information (MI) submissions, providing analysis and challenge, to support decisions made by IT management and Governance Boards. * FAR process and complianceEssential Criteria: Specific demonstrable experience/ skills/ behaviours/ qualifications (vocational, Degree/Masters/Doctorate, professional) expected for the role. The role is also be accountable for all of IT&SiF outwards reporting including regular reporting to Group CIO Key Dimensions: People Responsibility (no. of direct reports & overall) Financial Scope (budget, $ budgeted revenue/ turnover, fixed costs, Capex, no of customers) Key Accountabilities: Specific tasks / activities, management, reporting, interfaces etc. Ideally about 5 distinct statements, describing the role in more detail, in terms of activities and output core to this role Portfolio planning * Definition and active management of total T&SiF portfolio * Portfolio to be planned by all dimensions of budget, capability, risk and deliverability * Governance/management process with stakeholders Portfolio Management and PMO * Status monitoring and reporting * Dependencies, issues and risks management * Change control * Financial management * Resource management * Standards management * Project management support * Process improvements * Benefits realisation * Knowledge management Portfolio Delivery Assurance * Demand and supply planning (including liaison with internal and external suppliers ) * Governance of above Communications and Capability and reporting * Communication strategy definition and implementation * Culture assessment and strategy * Execute PR/marketing campaigns on key initiatives * Provide information to external teams as required Operational Effectiveness * Operational Effectiveness strategy * Portfolio Management of direct and related activities to improve operating cost model * Consolidated representation of Cost Management Initiatives Governance support * Provide assurance that all functions comply with IT&S and IT&SiF policies and standard Governance processes. * Support Functions Directors & CIO's in Governance Boards * Record and manage actions and follow-up. Essential Criteria: Specific demonstrable experience/ skills/ behaviours/ qualifications (vocational, Degree/Masters/Doctorate, professional) expected for the role. List in priority order, max 10 bullet points The candidate must have experience of managing significant IT & Business Transformation projects to successful delivery. They will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrate the ability to influence, adapting their style and approach to suit various audiences and situations. They will also have: * Experience of successfully managing significant business process and technology change projects * Experience of managing substantial portfolio ?$100m * Experience of leading cross-area change initiatives * Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills * The ability to cope with complexity and ambiguity and be highly motivated and delivery focused * Rigour and attention to detail, and the application of standards * Ability to motivate and inspire people to achieve results * Strong leadership and influencing at all levels - able to build credibility and relationships through well-developed inter-personal skills The role will require previous experience of: * Full lifecycle software delivery experience with several full lifecycle delivery roles in IT projects * Related working in similar organisations ( energy) for at least 10 years * Delivering cost efficiency programmes * Coaching and development of individuals * Experience of successfully managing significant business process and technology change projects * Experience of managing substantial portfolio ?$100m * Experience of leading cross-area change initiatives * Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills * The ability to cope with complexity and ambiguity and be highly motivated and delivery focused * Rigour and attention to detail, and the application of standards * Ability to motivate and inspire people to achieve results * Strong leadership and influencing at all levels - able to build credibility and relationships through well-developed inter-personal skills The role will require previous experience of: * Full lifecycle software delivery experience with several full lifecycle delivery roles in IT projects * Related working in similar organisations ( energy) for at least 10 years * Delivering cost efficiency programmes * Coaching and development of individuals Desirable Criteria: Optional - additional criteria that are "nice to haves" and could enhance performance of the role * Awareness of the main components of performance management process: planning models, Performance Contracts, Group Investment Assurance and Approval Process (GIAAP) and the Group Financial Outlook (GFO). * Awareness of the principles behind T&S annual planning process and the relationship between the strategy, the plan and the performance management of the business. * Knowledge of portfolio & project planning tools (Planview , MS Project). * A recognised Project Management qualification (such as PMP) xperience within IT&S and managing projects within CVPPlease apply for more details.
