Analyst / Intern for Institutional Design (duration: 3 days a week for 3 months)
ABOUT INSTITUTIONAL DESIGN Institutional Design serves the need of businesses to have confident, decisive Boards, and focused decision-making. Our consulting services and outcomes-based research provide an external, independent source of expertise for evaluating Board process. Since 1999 we have carried out over 200 Board process assignments in the UK and Australia. Working in partnership with Executive Management, Company Secretaries and Boards, our BoardProcessValue ® methodology identifies opportunities for improved Board practices and puts in place customised solutions to optimise Board-Management interaction. ABOUT THE ROLE The responsibilities of the analyst role include: • Company research including the review of annual reports re corporate governance and risk management policies; • Industry research including the review of market intelligence and journals related to the extractive industries; • Benchmarking and analysis including the use of modelling techniques; • Coordination of pitches for medium to large-cap prospect clients; • Drafting of presentations for both internal and external engagement; and • Administration including the maintenance of the sales and marketing and market intelligence lists. Requirements: We are seeking a highly motivated individual who has recently completed an undergraduate degree in one of the following disciplines: business administration, commerce, law or engineering although we can also accept applications from students from other programmes who can demonstrate a good academic record. This opportunity presents an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in this area. Initially a short term part-time contract, there is the possibility of this becoming a permanent position, and candidates should also demonstrate the following qualities: • Excellent writing and analytical skills; • Project management skills; • Excellent interpersonal skills; • Strong organizational skills; • Proven work ethic and a high level of diligence and integrity.
