Job Title: WebSphere ESB Developer Location : Coraopolis, PA Duration: 9-12 Months + Preferred: W2 or C2C or 1099 JOB SUMMARY looking for talented, ambitious, self-directed individual to guide the WESB development process. He/she will also assist in other parts of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) as needed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Perform the ongoing application development and application integration work necessary to maintain the company's strategic Enterprise Service Bus based on WebSphere ESB • Use WebSphere Integration Developer (WID) to maintain existing and to create new reusable components within the ESB • Ensure the stability and manageability of the ESB by authoring and communicating standards and best practices for the creation of service mediations on the ESB • Ensure new mediations developed on the ESB conform to standards • Facilitates the clarification of issues as they arise during the software development process. • Ensures accuracy, completeness, and clarity of work. • In cases where business requirements or scope documents are not provided, assists in gathering business requirements from the appropriate sources. • Follows the company standard development processes to make the best use of limited resources (time, money, people) resulting in a stable, maintainable product that meets user requirements. • Works with minimal supervision, to deliver on schedule, and to coordinate and prioritize multiple job requests. • May present specifications and designs to stakeholders. • Accomplishes all of the above in accordance with standard procedures. • All other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience. • 4+ years of related work experience. • Expertise with WebSphere ESB 6.x and above • Deep understanding of SOA principals and ESB concepts • Hands-on experience in WebSphere ESB mediation development using various data bindings (HTTP, Messaging, SCA, and Web Service) • Extensive knowledge about XML, XSD, and XSLT related technologies • Expertise with Webservices and JMS based communication • Strong Java background (JDK 1.5 and above) • Must be detail oriented, a good problem solver, a good listener, articulate (in both writing and verbal communications), and able to handle projects alone and within a group. • Excellent project management and time management skills. • Experience with all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle; knowledge of successful software development methodologies and best practices. • Ability to handle change and ambiguity. • Effective in a fast paced environment. • Self starter/motivator.
