We have an immediate opportunity for a Technical Writer with Claims, Enrollment, Facets & healthcare industry experience for 4+ month’s contract position with the largest Healthcare Insurer in the Red Run, MD area. You are an ideal fit for this opportunity if you have previously worked as a Technical Writer for a large Healthcare Insurance company, such as UnitedHealth, Aetna, Cigna or one of the Blues Plans like WellPoint or Highmark. Responsibilities: * Develop clear and concise messages to convey information /explanations to providers/provider offices and members regarding claims status, claims adjudication actions, member benefits and eligibility. * Translate current “in-house” terminology into easily understood messages * Conduct internal interviews to obtain necessary information * Coordinate review and approval process with internal and external interested parties, including Legal, Corporate Communications, Physician and Provider Advisory groups * Ensure messages comply with any applicable regulatory requirements. Requirements: * Bachelors Degree * 3-5 years related experience with a focus in research, report writing and documentation required. Health insurance background Claims and Enrollment background a plus Trizetto- a plus not required Must have the ability to document SOPS Information mapping skills a plus Since interviews are conducted through Phone and in person you must be able to interview at your own expense for you’re in person interview in the Red Run, MD area. We are flexible with work arrangements: W2 with or without benefits, temp to perm, or corp to corp. However, we prefer a candidate willing to work C2C at an all inclusive rate. Compensation varies depending on the specific opening and supply/demand of candidates at the time.
