About the Foundation: The Constitution Foundation (DBA The Saylor Foundation) was established in 1999 by the CEO of a leading business intelligence technology company. The Foundation has launched an initiative committed to the development and structuring of open educational resources, with the goal of driving the cost of higher education down to zero. The initiative seeks to provide the architecture for a new educational model designed to disseminate free, high-quality materials to those lacking the resources to access traditional schooling. Position Description: The Saylor Foundation seeks a qualified individual to fill the position of RECRUITING COORDINATOR. The RECRUITING COORDINATOR will assist the Foundation in identifying, interviewing, and recruiting talented members of the academic community interested in contributing to the Foundation's project through creating, reviewing and modifying our online courseware. The RECRUITING COORDINATOR's primary responsibility will be to develop a pool of interested and eligible applicants across a number of college-level disciplines and will be able to conduct these tasks as they arise. The needs of the Foundation will change depending on current priorities and therefore the RECRUITING COORDINATOR's primary duty will consist of creating and maintaining an available group of consulting professors. The ideal candidate will be able to prioritize recruitment efforts and direct those efforts according to the needs of the foundation, multitask the recruitment of multiple positions, maintain detailed logs of enrollment communication, effectively compose email communication, and clearly answer all questions. The successful candidate will be able to clearly weigh the development and hiring needs of the Foundation against the qualifications of prospective hires and recommend the most logical placement for each individual hire. He/she will employ both traditional sourcing strategies and new, inventive recruitment ideas in order to locate and attract strong applicants. The RECRUITING COORDINATOR's responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 1. Drafting position descriptions; 2. Sending proactive recruitment communication to previously identified pool of candidates; 3. Screening all submitted applications, conducting interviews via email (and in rare cases, telephone) with eligible applicants to obtain information on work history and teaching experience, and, when necessary, contacting references and previous employers; 4. Creating and maintaining a detailed log of outreach communication and applicants; 5. Serving as the point of contact for all applicants and clearly answering all questions; 6. Efficiently and effectively filling open positions; 7. Evaluating the effectiveness of deployed recruiting plans, reporting this information to Foundation staff, and, if necessary, adjusting plans in order to improve results; 8. Building outreach networks to locate qualified candidates Qualifications: 1) Undergraduate degree from an accredited institution; 2) Some experience in Human Resources and/or Recruitment preferred; 3) Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks 5) Ability to work independently without daily supervision; 6) Excellent inter-personal skills and communication skills; 7) Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and Google Apps; 8) Flexible schedule (workload may vary from week-to-week) Details: This is a part-time, contract position. Successful candidate must dedicate at the very least 20 hours per week to this work. Location: Successful candidate will telecommute and will commit to weekly phone meetings with Foundation staff.
