THE POSITION: Under the direct supervision of the Internal Systems and Tools Manager, the Systems Administrator is responsible for assisting in the overall support of the internal Quest Foglight monitoring system. The position is a full-time (40 hours per week), contract position. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain and support various Foglight systems Develop Foglight reports, dashboards, and customizations for internal teams Maintain and develop other internal tools, including Splunk and Atlassian products Serve as support for mission-critical internal applications and tools Maintain accurate systems documentation Provide training and guidance to internal Foglight users REQUIRED SKILLS: Foglight administration & deployment Ability to multi-task and prioritize Effective verbal and written communication skills Possess initiative to identify and propose potential system and process improvements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience with Quest Foglight monitoring products, including hardware, Oracle, and VM solutions. Previous experience with customizing Quest Foglight products Previous experience scripting in Quest Foglight 3+ years experience managing Unix-like systems Experience administering heterogeneous server environments Previous experience monitoring e-commerce web sites PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Active participation on Foglight customer forum Experience configuring web servers such as IIS, Apache, or Tomcat Shell scripting experience, both under MS Windows and common Unix-like shells such as bash and csh Experience with configuring systems via Puppet Familiarity with Perforce, including admin responsibilities
