Sr. Process Tech/ Jr. Process Engineer
Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technology professionals, has an immediate opening for an Sr. Process Tech/Jr. Process Engineer on a Contract-to-Hire opportunity with a leading company in Golden, CO. About the Position: An employee working within the facility and contributing to the silicon materials and devices group will work to develop the next generation of advance silicon-based photovoltaic devices. The employee will operate and maintain research equipment while adhering to the safety standards. The individual will grow thin-film layers by a variety of techniques during a WEEKEND SHIFT. Weekend shift: Saturday and Sunday 12 hours a week, and 2 days during the week. YOU MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH TOXIC CHEMICALS & THIN-FILM DEPOSITION TECHNIQUES TO QUALIFY! The individual will execute planned experiments independently and report to senior scientific staff on results and any technical difficulties encountered. The Associate Engineer must be capable of working independently on complex characterization tools, vacuum deposition equipment, machine shop equipment, processing equipment. Close attention to laboratory safety procedures is critical. Specific Duties: Thin film growth, substrate preparation and cleaning Device processing Routine maintenance of vacuum deposition systems, and device and materials characterization. Attention to detail is critical. Use of LabVIEW to operate the depositions system. Clear digital record-keeping in experiment database with special attention to unexpected observations and errors in procedures. Daily informal reports to staff about work progress and results, in oral, graphical and written form. Working in a cleanroom environment including but not limited to: Photolithography processes, wet etch, RIE etch, develop inspection, post etch inspection, probing and detailed understanding of the process. Required Skills: Relevant Associates Degree or Certification program comparable in technical scope OR 5 years experience Previous work history in semiconductor facility working with toxic materials (i.e. SiH4, HF, SF6, PH3) LabView Programming Thin-film deposition techniques (chemical vapor deposition, evaporation, sputtering) Clean room experience Semiconductor Device operating principles. Preferred Skills: Degree in engineering, physics, or materials science (or equivalent). Experience/Understanding of use and maintenance of vacuum systems. Computer Literacy Ability to perform bench chemistry and understand basic electronic circuits. Mechanical aptitude.
