Interim Planning Officer to join Development Control / Management Section team within busy Local Authority, approx 9 months (subject to change) LTD Pay rate: £15-17 PAYE Pay rate: £12.50 - 13.90 37.5 per week. Job Description Main Duties & Responsibilities The successful candidate will have experience in Development Control / Management Section Shall be working on a varied part of the job, the manager will work with your strengths - They like to give as much varied work as possible. Appeal Work and hearings, you will be left to their own case work, therefore MUST be able to prioritise and work on your own. Supervision and help will be at hand when required. Ideally the candidate shall be MRTPI qualified (Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute) Desirable, not essential The role does not involve committee attendance but there maybe the need to attend on the off chance depends on man power. The post holder will assist the Section's work of: Processing planning applications in an efficient and effective manner Advising the public on matter relating to the control of development and its enforcement Representing the District Council at hearings and planning inquires (if required).
