HGV Technicians Doncaster £11.48 - £14.28 per hour 6 week contract 1207-13 My client is looking to recruit qualified/experienced HGV Technicians for a 6 week contract in Doncaster. The Role Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidates will be responsible for servicing and repairing a range of commercial vehicles to MOT standard. Key Areas of Responsibility: Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on all makes of vehicle to VOSA standard Diagnose and rectify all types of faults Attend disabled vehicles at the roadside or on customer’s premises Ensure all vehicles worked upon are handled carefully and that all precautions are taken whilst on the premises Liaise with the parts department to attain parts Ensure Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices are adhered to Ensure an appropriate clocking is made, all job cards and service sheets are completed Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness Essential Skills/Requirements Current driving license LGV/HGV license FLT license City & Guilds or NVQ qualified technician ADR Ability to work under pressure Ability to actively seek solutions to problems Good verbal communication skills Excellent customer care skills Flexibility to undertake a wide range of tasks Technical qualification or proven experience repairing and maintaining vehicles Awareness and understanding of Health & Safety requirements Ability to organise work on own initiative and to strict deadlines Shift Patterns: 4 on, 4 off – days and nights 6 – 6.30 am or pm (12 hour shift) ½ hour unpaid lunch with paid breaks Overtime available (enhanced rate) What Next?
