The Job Description is as follows: - Support and troubleshoot Solaris 9, 10 and RHEL/OEL 5. - Maintain a large environment. Provide end-user support. - 3+ years experience in supporting large corporate Unix/Linux environments. - Education: 3-4 years of University education post High School diploma (Bachelors Degree) from accredited University - Good understanding and working experience with Sun Solaris 9/10 Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 and Oracle Enterprise Linux 5. - Good understanding and working experience with Oracle VM and Virtualization technologies - Strong knowledge of Shell scripting with hands-on experience. - Good knowledge and working experience with Solaris ZFS and Logical Domains (LDOMs) - Good knowledge and working experience installing, configuring and administering Symantec Storage Foundation, Storage Foundation HA and Storage Foundation for Oracle RAC - Good knowledge and working experience in installing, configuring and administering Oracle Cluster File System 2 (OCFS2). - Good skills in troubleshooting and analyzing OS and Software related issues and problems. - Good Skills in troubleshooting and analyzing Hardware related issues and problems. - Good knowledge in setting up, configuring and administering FTP servers - The ability to work with different departments like Oracle DBA and SAN administrators in support the Unix/Linux - Understanding and experience with networking, TCP/IP, server security, server load balancing infrastructure. - Understanding and experience with application installations, dependencies, and their relationships including application compatibility and co-existance - Experience with Solairs and RHEL/OEL Linux patching. - Verbal and written communication skills. - Good knowledge in installing and configuring Quantum SNFS File system. - Good knowledg in configuring printers on Solairs and Linux. - Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) and/or Solaris 10 Administration certification is prefered.
