Introduction We would like to create a website to provide voucher/coupon codes for the French market. We don't want some low-quality website like many of those ugly coupon sites, we want to aim for a good-quality one. Our ideal / target website is : / (in French) / (in German) / (in English) IMPORTANT : We will provide all the UI / design / HTML. List of functionnalities 1/ Categories Coupon codes can be searched/displayed by categories ex: /discount-codes-by-category/gifts 2/ Top Discount Codes Coupon codes are sorted with most N clicked discount-codes ex: /top-discount-codes 3/ New Discount Codes Coupon codes are sorted with the latest discount-codes ex: /new-discount-codes 4/ Stores listing Stores are being listed by alphabetical order, grouped by each letter. One can navigate, letter per letter. ex: /discount-codes-by-store 5/ Search Engine You can see a very nice auto-complete search engine. Search is made on : store name + coupon code name 6/ A Store Page ex: /365ink A store page will list all the coupon codes from the said store. Also : The store page will have room for a logo (of the store). A screenshot of the website (we can use a free service like thumbshots.com) A quick vote / stars system to rate a shop. A place to put some SEO text (that you find at the bottom of the page) to describe each store. On the store page, you can see related coupon codes (codes from the same category from where the store is) and top coupon codes. URL is being URL-rewrited in a short-way : domain.tld/STORE_NAME 7/ Email Newsletter + Alert In each store page, there is a "newsletter + alert" block. The goal of it is to get people subscribed to a newsletter but also to an alert. Everytime we add a new code, we should alert the people who have chosen to receive new email alerts from the said store. This way when you have a new code from a store you like, you immediately know it. NOTE : we must not send more than 2 emails per week to a person, some there must be a way to limit and aggregate results. It's OK to have an email containing multiple stores from multiple alerts inside one mail. IDEA : a crontab running twice a week. The crontab runs a script who does creates each possible email with all the alerts required for each user/alert inside a single email. 8/ Coupon page The coupon page is an IFRAME with the logo on top, and coupon code being displayed on top with description. A feedback is displayed to let the user tell us if the coupon is working or not. This feedback will be displayed back in admin to disable bad coupon codes or dead ones. 9/ Statistics There are a few basic statistics that you can see on the footer. Number of shops, new coupon codes, etc... 10/ Admin Page Of course we need a basic admin page to edit the content.
