Thurgood Marshall Academy Public Charter High School is a law-themed college preparatory high school in Washington, DC serving 360 students in grades 9-12. The school located in a renovated 50,000 square foot state-of-the-art educational facility in Anacostia, has been serving youth from Southeast Washington, DC since 2001. The mission of the school is to prepare students to be successful in college and to actively participate in our democratic society. Thurgood Marshall Academy is currently seeking applicants for substitute teaching positions for the 2012-13 school year. Substitute teachers work on an as needed basis from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. Minimum Qualifications: 60 college credits; ability to communicate; candidates with prior teaching experience and/ or certification strongly encouraged to apply.
