Music Journalist Wanted
Looking for aspiring music journalists to write for a new music magazine aimed at women, as part of my dissertation for my MA in publishing. The magazine will be a prototype and will focus on music and pop culture (that will include fashion, art and films but with a central theme of music), in the style of Nylon magazine. It will be fun, bold and politically aware, aimed at intelligent, 18 - 25, women who love music and are fed up of the current male orientated titles out there. The magazine will celebrate the musical geniuses that have gone before and transformed the music scene as well as unearth the best emerging artists and bands, combining underground and mainstream genres. I am looking for interviews with bands as well as features on current trends in music, savvy articles on the politics of women in music, short pieces on DIY fashions or music icons from the past - anything that inspires you when you listen to music, get writing about (photos/illustrations are also welcome). In return you will have your piece published in the magazine and will get a digital copy of the finished product to add to your portfolio. Keywords: Work, Charity, Volunteer
