Responsibilities Chartis Americas is migrating its multiple production support environments to a consolidated, more cost effective Lean model. The migration is occuring in Waves, with each Wave framed by Organization Unit and managed services (fixed price) vendor within that Unit. The dimensions of each Wave are from 10 to 20 Applications and Chartis production support managers, 125 to 250 managed services resources, and 20 to 40 Chartis FTEs and T&M vendor production support personnel. The individual filling the position will function in a Senior manager capacity : in the Wave(s) migration itself; and in the management and continuous improvement of the newly established Lean environment. The Applications in scope feature diverse platforms (e.g. host based, distributed, client server), technologies, software, hardwar, and tools. This position is responsible for achieving cost eficiencies, while maintaining or exceeding the SLAs and service levels associated with the pre-Lean environments. The cost efficiencies will be achieved in large measure by re-engineering and standardizing the problem resolution and maintenance release workflow processes. Qualifications ? 10 years of application development and production support management experience, supporting a large-scale, diverse environment ? 5 years experience in managing a production support environment, featuring management of an offshore vendor contingent ? Leadership, management, and communication skills ? Knowledge of IT Applications in the Commercial Insurance space in general, and AIG in particular, is a big plus. ? Experience in Lean IT transformations and on-going management is a big plus. ? Six Sigma certification is a small plus.
