HR Advisor (Temporary Contract) - Leading Financial PLC Bradford, West Yorkshire c£30,000 The Company: With a heritage dating back to 1890 we are a one of the UK’s leading suppliers of personal credit products to the non-standard lending market. The Opportunity: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR professional to join the HR team based at our Head Office in Bradford. Reporting to the Senior HR Policy Manager, the successful individual will play an integral part in providing advice and guidance to managers and staff on a range of employment issues, developing HR policies and undertaking project work. Role Summary: To provide support to the management of the HR Policy agenda and to undertake projects in relation to new policy or process implementation, terms and conditions of employment and to review and evaluate their impact. To advise managers on the application of the company’s employment policies in order to ensure that they act in accordance with these policies and prevailing employment legislation. Key Accountabilities: Employee Relations Support: Manage a holistic ER caseload; Act as the HR Representative at formal interviews/meetings, as and when required; Advise line management and staff members on ER issues in accordance with the HR policies, procedures and current employment legislation HR Project Initiatives: Lead HR Policy development projects; Support the HR Policy Manager with ad-hoc project work and change initiatives; Take responsibility for advising on HR Policy updates in relation to developing legislation/business changes. HR Policy Development: Act as key liaison point with field HR Managers on policy changes/implementation. The Person: We are looking for an individual who has, ideally, completed the CIPD qualification and who has proven knowledge and experience in a similar role. Your involvement in the Key Accountability areas stated above will be apparent in the past roles you have held and it is hoped that the successful candidate will hit the ground running and be excited by the prospect of the challenging environment. Comfortable working with senior management from across the business, the successful candidate will have experience advising on HR/employment issues and solid experience acting as HR rep in formal meetings. Experience writing HR policies and procedures is required as is experience running projects and implementing new initiatives. A full driving licence is required (or willingness to travel) as some travel may be involved and a flexible attitude to working hours as no two days are the same and could involve dealing with complex cases or situations which will necessitate working beyond normal working hours.
