IT Business Analyst / Project Manager for IM Projects<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> TERM: 6 Months to Start Location: Downtown Calgary The role of IM Project Manager / Business Analyst on related projects requires a blend of strong Business skills as well as solid PM skills. Candidates will be required to handle multiple work assignments simultaneously that may be at various stages in the system development life cycle. Required Skills - Demonstrate experience working with structured methodologies · Specific experience writing project charters required - Conduct requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders - Clarify and validate requirements throughout project life cycle - Anticipate, quantify and resolve problems and issues with requirements - Facilitate stakeholder sign-off of requirements - Demonstrate risk management experience in a project environment - Provide leadership and support for change management and training - Facilitate a smooth transition from project to the support organization - Experience in the upstream Oil & Gas industry Desired Skills - Develop test plans and test cases for purchased applications, ensuring effective coverage of requirements - Monitor, facilitate and participate in the testing and deployment of applications - Develop all project document in accordance with our client’s standards - Experience any or all of the following Oil Sands Business stages: Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning and Start-up, Plant Operations and Maintenance Soft Skills - Excellent communication skills - Ability to work well in a team environment - Ability to learn new concepts quickly - Attention to detail - Flexible and capable of handling change readily Experience Required - Oil & Gas experience – preference to Oils Sands (Capital Projects, Operations, Maintenance) or GG&E (Geology, Geophysics, Reservoir Engineering) - 5 + years experience as a Business Analyst - 3-5 years experience as a Project Manager - 3-5+ years experience in deployment of content or document management systems. Experience with Open Text Livelink is preferred, but experience with other content management platforms is of interest. - Project Management certification is a plus Candidates will report to the Oil Sands IM Program Manager.
