Kronos Developer
Kronos Developer Framingham, MA Primary Duties and Responsibilities: • Create or modify highly complex configurations, modules, routines, scripts and data objects from a detailed design where performance, efficiency, and reliability are critical to the entire system • Design, develop, test and implement software functionality • Develop application documentation • Identify, isolate and resolve malfunctions related to software • Consult with IT staff and users on technical issues relating to systems • Compliance with IT standards, policies and procedures • Evaluate requests and advise the business team on technical solutions to ensure that the HR Systems continue to provide a strategic platform for growth at Staples. • Strong research and analysis in the resolution of reported issues and in identifying opportunities for improvement. • Manage, mentor, and coordinate resources on assigned projects and be responsible for and/or participate in the coordination, support, and maintenance efforts of the development team to ensure customer satisfaction • Collaborate in the execution of development initiatives, project plans, and project management. • Demonstrate the ability to understand complex interactions and the potential impact to upstream and downstream applications and to ensure that solutions and new requirements integrate seamlessly with existing technologies • Able to effectively estimate the time it will take for themselves and others to perform tasks and are able to influence the teams work to be completed within those timeframes. Minimum 5-8 years Kronos WFTK Experience • Kronos WFTK 6.x experience Preferred • Strong application development skills and experience with Workforce Integration Manager and Connect • Implementation experience with Kronos WFTK 6.x • Solid functional understanding of Kronos WFTK 5.x, 6.x, Connect, WIM, Timekeeper, Attendance and Leave, Accruals, Scheduling, Budgeting, Forecasting, and Analytics Familiarity with the Kronos database structures and entity relationships • Advanced SQL development and tuning • Good understanding of Oracle 11g database • Basic understanding of network protocols • Experience with a global, multi-language Kronos implementation a plus • Experience with Data Privacy and PII • Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux and Unix platforms • Working knowledge of Java/J2EE and HTML a plus • Experience working with 3rd party vendors • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Excellent documentation skills • Excellent customer service skills • Excellent analytical skills • Strong time management skills and organizational skills • Experience with Source Control and Change Management processes • Strong team contributor, take charge individual, self-motivated, and business oriented. • Self motivated independent worker, able to lead initiatives from beginning to end • Demonstrated follow-through on assignments and issue resolution
