This position is specifically tasked with doing detailed test strategy planning and execution for code changes being moved into our hosted system on a monthly basis. The majority of the role will be in doing risk assessment and working with the various testing groups and architects within IT and that of the Business teams. This person needs to be a very good communicator and be able to show their results through dashboards and reporting. This person will work under the direction of the Quality Director and will work with a wide range of cross-functional teams in both IT and Business configuration and workflow. The Software Quality Engineer III will be responsible for working as part of the Software Quality Assurance team, this position is responsible for working with many groups within IT and with the business on analysis, design and development efforts to ensure high-quality testable deliverables and to plan, design, develop and execute automated and manual test cases and track defects. The Software Quality Engineer III will be responsible for leading mid-size to large quality assurance efforts. Minimum Job Qualifications and Technical Competencies: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and four years of test engineering experience with two years of experience working on complex projects Four years of experience leading and mentoring test staff or an equivalent combination of education and seven years test engineering experience with two years of experience working on complex projects and four years of experience leading and mentoring test staff or seven years of experience in test engineering with two years of experience working on complex time-boxed projects and two years of experience leading and managing test staff This position requires 4-5 years of test automation or development experience using an Object-Oriented language, preferably Java or C# Experience using Rational Software's suite of products or other testing tools Experience writing automated testing scripts Experience working with business partners in writing detailed test plans Understand organizational resources, priorities, needs and policies Ability to manage project resources, adjust schedule and priority in respond to business needs Must be self-motivated and work with minimal direction Be able to prioritize workloads and effectively participate in multiple projects and priorities Demonstrated ability to work well and lead individuals, peers and business teams Excellent written and verbal communications skills and the ability to interact with variety of customers and stakeholders Ability to work cooperatively in a group to achieve common goals Able to establish and maintain productive working relationships with co-workers Strong customer service attitude and skills Able to coach and provide direction to others in test automation Technically proficient in core technologies and methodologies used by the team Able to mentor and provide direction to others in programming
