Resource Type: MS Access Developer <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Term: 1 year contract Location: Calgary, AB Responsibilities include and are not limited to: a) Conducting reviews of current business requirements to understand the projects’ scope of work and defining the system solution deliverable requirements and timelines. b) Designing, developing, testing and deploying new MS Access solutions that meet the business needs defined. c) Operationally supporting, and where deemed necessary, enhancing, existing MS Access solutions to meet the defined business needs. d) Solutions to be architected such that the solutions can be ported to a MS SQL database with a VB.NET user interface with ease. e) Delivering to the agreed upon status reporting requirements and schedule and providing the required details. f) Developing technical and operational supporting documentation for the solutions. g) Working closely with operational primes and business analysts and other developers in designing solutions to meet business needs. h) Obtaining sign off from Business Sponsor. Skills Required: • The individual must be able to demonstrate strong working knowledge of the following applications: i. Microsoft SQL Server ii. VB.Net iii. MS Access iv. MS Excel • Proven success in developing MS Access solutions to meet or exceed business requirements. • Experience in delivering solutions to meet business operational needs.
