Creative Director - Social Media

We are looking for a Creative Director to help us continue to bring fresh ideas to our clients and to develop the strategy–creative linkage needed to do great work. The person in this role will champion new ways of transforming social media strategies and consumer insights into executional creative concepts, while leading the development of these ideas both internally and with third-party creatives & developers. Our ideal candidate will bring two important things to the job. First you’ll be experienced enough to bring fantastic thinking to projects and processes, being able to make internal and external resources sing. Second, and equally important, your “roll up your sleeves”, “can do” “add another cliché” attitude means you also love to work directly on smaller projects like quick design work, copywriting, mockups, and basically doing what is needed to do a great job for our clients. Responsibilities: Developing, mocking-up, presenting, and sometimes producing creative ideas for social media campaigns – individually and with various internal / external resources Establishing and maintaining relationships with partners & vendors, and engaging them on projects at the right time (eg.. in ideation, scoping, production & execution) Aligning creative concepts with strategy, technical specifications, production planning, execution, and quality assurance Driving the production process on projects (budgeting, timing, creative input, partner management, brand stewardship, testing, launch, reporting) Leading cross-discipline ideation and working sessions to develop creative and strategic thinking for clients and projects Attacking problems creatively and strategically Assisting in the development of creative briefs for our partners Designing and writing for presentations and new business pitches Establish best practices for concept creation/ideation, copy and design strategy, brainstorming techniques, delivery of workflow plan/processes Working on internal marketing projects for Socialarc such as our website, newsletter, social media presences, corporate identity, etc... Requirements: 4+ years experience as an art director / copywriter / creative director in an agency setting (preferably a digital agency) 2+ years working in interactive / digital / social media A strong grasp of social media concepts (platforms, listening tools, successful campaigns, reporting metrics, development) Experience working on social campaigns (preferably with custom Facebook builds) with integrated campaign experience a plus. Strong overall design and typographic skills Expert knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite Experience in pitch-work, client-facing skills, presentation skills (preferably Keynote) and creating spec mockups Excellent understanding of design, technology, and social media trends within our space Experience working collaboratively with other creatives and cross-discipline teams Strong portfolio which showcases creative ideas, great execution, commitment to strategy, and digital / social experience Solid knowledge of the requirements of the creative process including typical time and resources needed to produce with efficient & quality work on time, and to specification Bonus Points: Knowledge of HTML, CSS, or other coding languages Mobile experience a plus UX / UI design experience Video editing experience
