Modis is currently seeking an Information/Network Security Analyst for an exciting consulting opportunity with our healthcare client in Aurora, IL. The primary responsibility of this role will be to partner with existing staff on researching, implementing and supporting a company-wide information protection program that covers O/S and Network Security. Because our client is in the healthcare field, this position has a heavy focus on HIPAA & Federal compliance. Typical responsibilities: - The first order of business will be to assess the security of the systems and network pieces already in place and partner with Network Leads to implement enhanced solutions that help our client meet federal privacy and security standards (HIPAA, NIST 800-42 and ISO 17799:200NI5) - Candidates need exposure to and an understanding of LAN/WAN Networks and the Cisco security concepts (Firewalls, VPNs). - The second major responsibility will be the implementation, configuration and use of IDS/IPS tools to conducting the security analysis and monitoring. This includes programs like Snort and Acidlab, as well as PenTesting tools like Core Impact, Nessus, Metasploit and nmap. REQUIRED SKILLS - Required Bachelors Degree with 5+ years in the IT field. - Security certifications are a plus: GSEC, GCIA, GCIH, CEH, CISSP - Working knowledge of Cisco LAN/WAN networks, Cisco Routers, Cisco Switches, Firewalls and IDS/IPS systems. - Windows and UNIX OS Security background - Experience with systems and security monitoring, IDS and IPS tools like Snort, Nessus, AcidLab, Core Impact, Metasploit and nmap. - HIPAA, FISMA, SOX or PCI compliance experience HOW TO APPLY Annual Salary Range offered: $70,000 - $90,000/year plus benefits.
