This PM/Coordinator role will support the Program Manager with a large portfolio of offshore vendor engagements. The tasks that the role will facilitate and support will include new demand execution, ongoing project transition support for effort owners, and most importantly maturing the sourcing portfolio (moving engagements into fixed price, managed services, facilitating technology and resource consolidation), change/expectations management and helping develop tools and mechanisms to meet the intended objectives. This role is in Irvine, California. Duties: Works as point of contact for designated areas /projects and translates scope of work into Statement of Work (SOW) in working with vendors and effort owners Assists with scope definition and project planning; thereafter supports and coordinates all tasks required to transition projects as per offshore engagement model Assists with the development of Service Level Agreements and associated performance penalties and/or incentives Works on assigned Global Sourcing Office (GSO) projects in areas of Demand Management, Consultant Management, Risk Management, Infrastructure Management and Reporting The client offshore program is about 1 year old. They have accomplished a lot of the transition from onshore to offshore and now need to focus on optimization of the work they have already given to offshore company. They want to streamline the SOW from more time and materials to more fixed bid options when possible; consolidation of opportunities whenever possible. The focus is on steady state optimization and working with outsource vendors to transition into more mature models. The PM/Coordinator will be given a portfolio of projects and will own those projects and be the liaison between Client Manager and Onsite Offshore Coordinator. Today there are 110 projects and this consultant would handle 50+ projects. The following skills, knowledge, characteristics and experience are required for this position unless noted otherwise: Projects strong understanding of matured sourcing - managed services, SLA driven delivery and contract management Brings forward good working knowledge of development, application and infrastructure maintenance and quality management Strong process orientation is expected Broad understanding of remote infrastructure, Information security areas is desired Experience with an offshore company like Infosys, Wipro or an internal company who has worked in offshore/vendor management environment is ideal
