Implementation Project Manager
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Implementation Project Manager on a 6-9 month contract, to deliver a finance based application into the public sector. This new system will include care record management, finance and contracts along with commissioning functionality. There will be a number of interfaces which are likely to be Oracle based, with my clients EDMS system. The ideal candidate will have extensive exposure to the public sector , with an emphasis on local authorities or delivery of projects within the social care industry but not limited to. The specific expertise required is to provide overall project insight, to lead on shaping the implementation approach and plan; lead on the technical aspects of the project, lead the development and management of all suppliers both internal and external. Key Responsibilities:- Plan and monitor project progress and directing and motivating the project team - manage the implementation of the chosen solution including data migration from the previous system and interface specification, acceptance testing and training. Work with operational services, business leads and the Corporate ICT services. Ensure the creation and maintenance of project documents as required. Manage the smooth transition from initial implementation into the routine day to day work of the services. Ensuring that the project stays within budget. Providing technical support and advise to other non technically minded colleagues. Strong focus on company policy's on ICT, Information Security, Information Governance. Key Deliverables:- Review the existing project documentation, including draft implementation plan and risks/issue logs, produce an implementation plan for the board to agree, within 4 weeks of their start date. Investigate the advantages and disadvantages of both approaches - produce a business case for the board for their preferred options either current or replacement version. Finalise the system specification and complete interface with all stakeholders. Key Skills:- You must be able to demonstrate the following experience. The ideal candidate will have experience of social care software services' implementation, including financial interfaces from a business and technical IT perspective. Experience of project managing and achieving substantial data migration from one system to another. Demonstrate the ability to successfully lead an ICT-related project which has significant impact of the delivery of said services. Proven skills in project management through to successful completion. These include project planning, budget management, risk assessment, decision making, organising the project team, and others within the management team. Strong Prince 2 methodology experience. Proven Ability to adopt a methodical, qualify assurance approach to project stages.
