Project Manager - 12 month FTC

Co-ordinate and lead complex transformation processes, leading and enthusing multifunctional project teams. Embed quality management principles into all aspects of the role. Evangelise and embed sound project management principles across the Serco Learning business. Ensure that projects are delivered within budget and to the expectation of the customer. Duties And Responsibilities: Be seen as the Serco Learning ambassador for implementations. Manage projects using standard methodology based on Prince 2. Build and manage internal and external relationships. Develop, manage and monitor project plans to ensure successful outcomes. Develop and manage project risk and issue logs. Discuss project issues and risks with the appropriate professionals and development mitigation strategies. Produce and disseminate project review reports to ensure that best practice is disseminated and areas for improvement are identified and acted on. Escalate to senior management, as appropriate, issues that may jeopardise project outcomes. Manage changes to projects using a standard change management procedures. Develop and document standards and procedures as required. Be aware of potential new sales opportunities and forward these through appropriate channels. Chair project meetings and arrange for minutes, risk logs and updated plans to be circulated to the project team. Apply the principles of team dynamics and to anticipate and manage conflicts. Manage the project elements of time, cost and quality, flagging up and managing variations, as appropriate. Managing the delivery and sign off of school Progresso adoption projects. Define, agree and manage the project plans for individual or groups of schools. Estimate and agree delivery dates for each project milestone. Manage delivery and sign off for each project milestone. Manage and deliver against customer expectations. Coordinate the delivery of services with the Delivery Consultants. Monitor the quality of the service provision to the customer. Continually review, feedback and refine the project processes to meet the changing needs of the customer and the business. Contribute to developing and maintaining excellent customer relations by providing the main point of contact during implementation. Support other areas of the business as appropriate, specifically customer transition projects to new products. Key Relationships: Close relationships required with Account Managers Services Manager Support Manager Sales team Skills And Attributes: Track record of successful project implementations through the use of established project management techniques. The ability to establish and motivate project teams to implement project strategy. The demonstrable ability to assimilate and understand software products. An operational grounding in quality systems. Interpersonal skills, specifically the ability to interact well with multi-disciplinary teams. Demonstrable commitment to customer satisfaction. Ability to lead and motivate others towards the achievement of goals and objectives. Excellent negotiating skills in generating support and resources for projects. Budget management. Ability to prepare and present reports of a high standard to boards, committees, groups of senior management and customers. Excellent customer care and communication skills (verbal and written) Proven Project management skills. Ability to prioritise. Good organisational skills. Able to manage own work load, personal planning, time management, well organised Knowledge And Experience: Degree or equivalent experience. Experience of successful implementing external projects with multiple stakeholders. Knowledge of customer care practices and techniques employed to ensure continuous service improvement. Demonstrable experience of project management techniques required to scope, plan and control a project. Experience of sales focused delivery of software solutions. Experience of working under pressure and balancing costs, quality and delivery timescales to satisfy customer expectations. Experience of working within an educational environment, so as to understand customer requirements. Knowledge and experience of Serco Learning product and service range Experience of installation, configuration and support of recognised desktop, server and hardware systems Please Note: This role will be offered on a 12 month FTC
