Social Media Consultant
Our client, a Fortune 100 company in the Greater Boston area, is currently looking to hire a Social Media Consultant to mentor and advise product teams in the planning, execution, and measurement of social media for new product launches. This role has become a necessity, as every strategic product launch will now be led by social media. In this role, the Social Media Consultant will be trained on the “Social Launch” process, the tools, and key resources required for successful launches. You will assess the level of knowledge of the product team and social launch lead while filling in the social media knowledge gaps. You will guide the social lead, and other members of the product team, to engage the appropriate social resources at the appropriate time, to ensure critical tasks are completed. You will be instrumental in maximizing the effectiveness of product launches, increasing new product awareness, reach, and lead generation capabilities. This is a part time position: 20 hours a week. As a half-time individual, this person will have flexibility in their work schedule and location, but must ensure they’re able to participate in all launch team meetings and other critical meetings, usually by phone. Responsibilities: · Train the Social Launch Leads. The candidate will provide “just enough” social media training enabling product teams to successfully plan and execute a social launch. . · Leverage (and also build new) launch-related tools, resources and best practices to be successful and execute launch activities according to the launch timetable. · Coordinate multiple over-lapping launches, demonstrating the ability to multi-task effectively · Develop and maintain excellent relationships with multiple teams and our own Social Engagement team members. · Manage expectations and provide constructive, on-going feedback for continuous improvement of process and results · Facilitate social launch meetings with product teams and often other Social Engagement team members · Actively participate in all Launch meetings (each 15 minutes long) · Analyze the success of the Launch, including launch performance metrics as well as making recommendations for continuous improvement of future launches, using just a few simple but compelling Powerpoint slides. · Work under the direction of the Social Engagement team Enablement Manager and work collaboratively with all members of the Social Engagement team as well as others involved in the launch process. Qualifications & Skills: · Must be “socially active” and have experience using social media tools · Demonstrate flexibility, and have a respect for the product launch process · Project management and leadership experience
