Overview: Allied Consultants, Inc. is an Austin-based firm which has for 20 years been a premier provider of technical and business professionals to clients in Texas. We are currently seeking an experienced IT PMO Process Analyst to be a key resource on a technical services team. Position Description: The worker will facilitate requirements gathering, analysis and documentation, process modeling and improvement of IT project, program and portfolio policies, standards, processes, and governance practices, supporting the customization and implementation of IT Project Management Methodologies. Specific tasks: Identify current state of IT project, program and portfolio policies, standards, processes, and governance practices. (1 month from start date) Coordinate with IT PMO Business Area Principals, PM Coordinator, IT Branch Managers, IT Directors and/or CIO, to ensure deliverables, metrics, and reports created are complete, accurate, published and maintained as needed. (ongoing from start date) Determine and gain approval for the priority and schedule of deliverables, metrics, and reports. (1 week after development of current state) Develop, refine, document and coordinate approval for IT project, program and portfolio policies, standards, processes, and governance practices. (ongoing after final schedule and priority deliverable is approved) Develop and document a crosswalk deliverable aligning TxDOT project, program and portfolio processes with oversight agency reporting requirements. Design and establish an approved process and accessible storage location to announce and publish approved items. Interface with TxDOT business and technical personnel regarding this effort. (to occur as first item is ready to publish) Other tasks as assigned Candidate must exhibit strong analytical, research, writing and problem-solving skills, and work well in a team. Required Skills/Experience: 5 Years of Experience evaluating business systems and working with end users documenting, analyzing, and gathering business requirements for enterprise IT applications. 5 Years of Experience developing policies, standards, processes, or governance documents. 5 Years of Experience preparing and documenting functional and technical specifications using Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, Visio, SharePoint). 5 Years of Experience at a Texas state agency performing project management, quality improvement, business process analysis, and/or stakeholder interaction on large and small projects. 5 Years of Experience with Texas Project Delivery Framework. 5 Years of Ability to communicate and transfer knowledge to business and technical personnel. 5 Years of Experience working effectively in a project team environment. 5 Years of Very strong written and oral communication skills. 5 Years of Experience documenting AS IS and TO BE business processes. 2 Years of Experience as an IT project manager or a technical lead on an IT project Preferred Skills/Experience: 2 Years of Experience creating and implementing applications using COTS PPM systems 2 Years of Experience implementing COTS PPM modules/systems/applications 3 Years of Experience as an business systems architect 4 Years of Experience managing or leading large IT projects using defined project methodology Experience with ITIL PMI Certification Bachelor’s degree Allied Consultants offers its family of consultants excellent rates, a local support staff, and an attractive benefits package which includes medical insurance (employee premiums paid 100%), life insurance, a matching 401(k) plan and a cafeteria plan.
