Job Title Environments Test Architect Function Test Architecture, Design and Engineering (TADE) Platform TBC Role Purpose The Environments Test Architect adds value by providing technical knowledge and leadership within the test stage of the project, programme, or release lifecycle. They will be responsible for defining what needs to be tested, where is should be tested, the design and definition of environments, the end-to-end integration and technical leadership in problem and incident management engagements. Accountabilities Contribution to project, programme and release test strategy taking a risk based approach to ensure the scope of testing can be achieved within the timescales available. Responsibility for translation of test strategy and plans into technical environments defintions and designs. Technical ownership of significant programme or release testing workstreams providing oversight and guidance to the platform teams, and ensuring an integrated end-to-end testing solution is delivered 'right first time'. Leadership and development of a team of virtual SME's who will specialise in infrastructure and application areas. Continuous improvement activities including building the architecture and design capability through contribution to technology repositories, supporting process change, leading transformational changes and driving environment re-use. Acting as a single point of contact for senior stakeholders within the programme or release. Creating reuasble design artefact, leading technical post implementation reviews, and contributing to the test design repository. Key Capabilities/Knowledge Experience as a Solution Architect or senior SME leading the development of architectures for complex systems, ensuring consistency with specified requirements agreed with both external and internal customers. Broad technical specialism ideally covering both application and infrastructure aspects of a solution. Strong stakeholder relationship management and confidence to intiate and influence relationships with and between key stakeholders. Testing and QA experience ideally gained within financial services business Tenacity and self motivation to make a difference and be an effective follower. Comfortable to work at both the big picture and detail levels.
