xScion Solutions is an Information Technology professional services firm supporting leading commercial clients in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. We are currently supporting a large health care insurance company with some of their key hiring needs and are looking for 2 Tech Writers to work on an Administrative Manual and efforts to support ICD 10 diagnosis implementation. Tasks & Deliverables/Project Goals Two contractors will be responsible for the client's Administrative Manual (FAM), Volume II documentation analysis, revision and/or creation efforts to support the ICD-10 Diagnosis implementation. ICD 10 is a medical classification list for the coding of diseases, signs and symptoms, abnormal findings, complaints, social circumstances, and external causes of injury or diseases. The code set allows more than 14,400 different codes and permits the tracking of many new diagnoses. If there is any time available due to the delay in the start of a project, delay during a project, or other interruption in a project, the consultant will be applied to (1) another project, (2) support work or (3) help develop time gap between requirements development and the releases. This engagement requires a 40-hr/wk level of effort from July 23, 2012 the anticipated start of assignment, through the end of the year. Some overtime may be required during the first several work weeks and may be required periodically throughout the engagement. Qualifications: Five years of documentation (software desktop publishing, on line and technical) with three years of demonstrable results-oriented work experience Experienced working with XHTML, CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) and multiple web browsers Background in effective use of hyperlinks and parent/child files Strong requirements elicitation, specification, and validation knowledge and experience Superior technical and business writing skills Strong communications, analytical and organizational skills Able to work both independently and in a team environment Quick learner who pays attention to detail and is able to listen and follow directions Drupal or other web-based content management system i.e. Wordpress, ModX, SDL Tridion, Vignette, Sitecore and Polopoly. Microsoft Suite Knowledge of ICD-10 Diagnosis coding strongly desired
