Job Description: Our customer, a leader in the financial industry with locations from coast to coast, is searching for a Business / Data Analyst . This Business / Data Analyst is a contract position. This is a global Fortune 500 Company, and a foot in the door has the possibility to open additional opportunities. Position: Business / Data Analyst / Financial Services Location: Boston, MA 02110 Length: 5 months + Pay rate: Depends on Experience Hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday-Friday High level responsibilities include: ï¿½ Align the forecast/budget to actuals by researching trends and working with the NIR forecasting team to resolve. ï¿½ Research detailed data to ensure criteria meets the definition of non-US. ï¿½ Align results across reporting systems and research and resolve variances. ï¿½ Build standard reporting in Spotfire by GEO and business unit that will assist with analytics: YTD vs Budget, Actual vs. Prior Period, Actuals vs. SPPR and FYF vs. Budget ï¿½ Build reporting with Khalix templates to assist with the ME close and required SEC reporting ï¿½ Apply 2012 Funds Transfer Pricing methodologies to financial data back to 2009 by working with data team and IT resources and build a database in Spotfire for ad hoc reporting analytics. ï¿½ Address past SEC reporting for possible restatements due to methodology changes. SKILLS ï¿½ Ability to learn new reporting systems quickly. ï¿½ Requires ability to readily absorb funds transfer pricing concepts in order to deliver meaningful analytics & reporting solutions on both a recurring and ad-hoc basis. ï¿½ Requires independent initiative to research data and deliver value-added solutions and reporting EXPERIENCE ï¿½ Education: minimum undergraduate; in Finance or Accounting. ï¿½ Approximately 2 - 6 years experience in a financial services environment, Treasury experience a plus; experience with analytics for business performance a plus. ï¿½ Experience with accounting, analysis and reporting of financial instruments a foundation for understanding needs, trends, drivers, relationships etc. ï¿½ Experience with Oracle general ledger, Khalix, and/or Spotfire a plus ï¿½ Must have strong MS Excel skills Provides administrative support to senior level management and their team. ï¿½ Works under limited supervision. ï¿½ Focus of the job is more on the coordination and execution of administrative tasks; however, some secretarial duties are still performed. ï¿½ Composes and prepares internal/external correspondence in addition to maintaining, answering and routing correspondence not requiring managerï¿½s attention. ï¿½ Assists with ad hoc reports and special projects. ï¿½ Arranges conferences and meetings for manager and team and prepares meeting notes. ï¿½ Inputs and maintains internal databases; updates and manages organization charts, distribution lists, SharePoint and web sites. ï¿½ Facilitates the production and compilation of metrics for weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting. ï¿½ Coordinates activities to include answering telephones, managing calendars/appointments, compiling expense reports, putting together presentation materials, and making travel arrangements. ï¿½ Often handles sensitive materials; maintains appropriate levels of confidentiality. Able to support requests and interface with a global team.
