Head of FS Sales Strategy
Purpose of the role: Lead, develop and drive the FS sales strategy, performance, compliance and overall Financial Service sales effectiveness and delivery for products across all channels (branch, contact centre, on-line and mobile) To develop the FS sales model, processes and use of technologies to deliver a valued customer experience across all sales channels; aligned to compliance and regulatory requirements; inclusive of a sales segmentation and cross selling strategy To build FS sales capabilities across all channels; to agree the number, location and activities of FS sales representatives; to agree activities and contact centre sales strategy; working with HR to develop an FS academy to develop sales capability, identifying opportunities for broader skills development and talent management across FS To deliver the FS Sales and Business Development strategies; lead the FS sales and development training teams. Key areas of accountability: Establish an effective and high performing compliant financial services sales model that delivers the company's customer experience, FS strategy and compliments the Sales Strategy Develop and drive a multi-channel sales strategy and processes to drive performance and effectiveness for Financial Service products across retail, on-line and contact centre channels Establish the FS Network direct sales model, processes and branch performance measures Develop a segmentation and sales referral strategy across all branches, on-line and contact centre channels, establishing referral structures that drive effective customer experience and sales Oversee rollout and leverage the sales management tool including developing propensity modelling Develop a direct sales model and qualification hierarchy for the FS sales specialists, assessing and implementing variant Advice models Assure appropriate levels of FS knowledge/expertise and compliance across all channels (online, contact centre and agency) Ensure compliance across all FS sales channels in line with FSA compliance requirements Drive the development of the FS Talent management strategy across the network: o Own the FS Academy with Human Resources o Build/deliver programs to enhance FS knowledge/expertise (entry, intermediate, advanced) across FS sales, FS Product o Establish sales-qualification structures and requirements for each product group with monitoring and continuous assessment structures to ensure that sales and optimise sales outcomes in a compliant manner that compliments customer experience objectives o Build integrated model to ensure that Sales Effectiveness Managers program delivers Work product owners, HR, Finance and Sales build appropriate employee incentive/agency commission and income factor framework for FS products to optimise long term sales outcomes and business profitability; Build and deliver sales performance structures (branch and individual) to monitor performance Build sales opportunity models across network to identify cross selling opportunities and any under performance Provide effective reward/recognition and build product profitability Technical Skill/Expertise A Senior Sales/Marketing professional with substantial experience of working at a Board/senior level in a very large, complex, multi-sited organisation in a highly unionised environment Commercially orientated with good business acumen Personal credibility with strong knowledge and understanding of sales management interventions and able to present these with authority and conviction Good knowledge of sales practices and tools. Demonstrable experience of introducing change on a large scale Significant experience driving sales performance across multiple channels in Financial Services Business improvement experience Proven experience of driving performance and behavioural changes into complex distribution networks Proven capability in managing needs of multiple stakeholders - ideally in driving sales performance for products manufactured by one partner and sold through the channels of another. Excellent influencing and communication skills. Must be able to make an impact at all levels within the organisation to motivate and enthuse others of the need for change Proven experience of developing sales capability strategy in a multichannel environment enabling delivery Excellent knowledge and understanding of current financial services legislation, TCF etc Experience of creating and influencing compliance direction at a strategic level across a number of business lines and preferably with experience of a distributed network Proven capability of working across business hierarchies Keywords: Finance
